It’s been a fun year to this point. Between vehicle problems and technical issues (let’s not even go there), we’ve had really great events with some really great people!
The latest? After a sun-shiny week at Arkansas City, Kansas… we finally get rain. Hard. A few hours before we hook up to leave. And we’re parked in the grass. Yup.
The moral of the story: wash behind your ears.
It doesn’t happen too often, considering… but in the past two weeks all but 1 Kidzturn vehicle as decided to “tap out”. Let’s run down the list, you know… for fun. Read the rest of this entry »
Here’s a quick update on the Kidzturn Life video series. We’ve been shooting video, but my editing program has been crashing with the latest episode. Now that the new Kidzturn.com website is up, I can fix more attention to getting rid of the problem video files and get back into the flow of things.
My goal is to release 2 episodes per month.
Cool week with cool people. The kids, the parents, the staff… everyone was involved to make it the best we’ve had at this church!
Here’s a list of stuff in this episode:
- Setting up the set
- Behind the set during the show
- Making cotton candy
- Building/re-constructing a piece of the set
- Kid-Cam (Jaron grabs the camera!)
- Freeze Tag Hide and Seek
- LEGO Jar-Jar gets saved
- Kaden’s first guitar chord
- Lighthouse AG church knocks down a wall

Our theme is “Power Up!”
But, you wouldn’t know it by seeing this morning’s show at Evangel Temple in Jacksonville, FL. Every time we put some serious audio through the system, there was a horrible, loud cracking/crunching sound coming through a couple wireless receivers. Finally, a breaker tripped, and silence ensued.
After re-routing electric cables, we were back up with the rest of the program, sans the interference.
Moral of the story: sound check AFTER all the cables are set for the show.
This was an exceptional year at Word of Life in Laurinburg, North Carolina.
Leaving Hatteras, NC, we decided to take 2 ferries to the mainland. This is our very-ferry travel day.
So, we’re back on tour. It’s 2010, and our first stop was Hattaras, NC. What a great time! In our pilot episode of Kidzturn Life, we’re loading the truck after the final evening.
